Edouard Quertier Catholic Priest. This is the grandson of Jean Baptiste Mathias Ariail. He was born in St. Denis sur Richelieu Quebec Canada on Sep 5 1796 and died in St. Denis Kamouraska Quebec Canada on Jul 17 1872. His mother was Marie Anne Ariail. He had 16 brothers and sisters and was renown during his time because of his teachings of the Society of the Temperance. The church behind the statue of him was the church he founded and his remains are interred beneath the pulpit of the church.
