Carroll McDaniel great-granddaughter of Climelia Abigail Ariail. Carroll was wife of Alfonso Cabeza de Vacay Leighton Marques de Portago and Milton J. Petrie. There are several articles pertaining to this distinguished member of the Ariail Family. Keep in mind that the mother of Edna Jane Hurt and Carroll McDaniel were sisters making the two of them 1st cousins. That would put this family in the category of being accomplished in the lives.
