Top picture is of Lorraine Ann Patterson kneeling at the grave site of Chloe Climelia Ives Ariail, wife of John Harvey Ariail at the Old Pickens Chapel Cemetery in Slabtown, South Carolina. Bottom picture is that of (left to right) Kermit, Felton and Olen Ariail (brothers) and sons of James Claude Ariail at the graves of John Harvey Ariail and Chloe Climelia Ives. What a joyous find was this for the entire family and many of them have since visited these graves of people born as early as 1775. The family bible of this ancient family is still intact and in the possession of the Family Historian and will be passed down through the family. Keith Ariail, current President of the Ariail Reunion Association, has been designated as protector of this document with the passing of the current historian.
