Top picture is new stone for Narcissus Emaline Orr, wife of John Milton Barr. This stone was placed by descendants of the Barr family in coordination with the Ariail Cemetery Committee. You will note that John Milton Barr is a brother to Mary Adelaide Barr, wife of William Harrison Ariail. The John Milton Barr listed here as husband is nephew of Mary Adelaide Barr. Also of interest, Mary Adelaide Barr Ariail named one of her sons John Milton Ariail. As you can see, genealogy is a fascinating study of family history. Bottom picture is of the Nails Creek Baptist Church in Banks County Georgia where many of the Ariail family has attended since about 1854. The first person buried in the Cemetery was Lemuel Lawrence Ariail after he died from measles in the Civil War. The reason for choosing the Churchyard as a resting place for Lemeul Lawrence Ariail, it that it is said his father was afraid they would lose the farm because of the war and chose not to start a family cemetery on the farm.
