In the bottom picture, the grassy area on the bottom side of the road is the area where the cemetery officials placed, for the Ariail Family Cemetery Committee, a memorial stone for Jean Baptiste Mathias Ariail and his wife Hannah Rich. Although records are not complete enough for this cemetery, the cemetery officials feel that John Ariail and Hannah are buried here and they wanted to recognize them with the memorial stone. A pink dogwood tree was planted at the memorial marker. It is also possible that Luke Ariail, son of John Ariail buried one of his young sons here in this cemetery.
