Top picture is a beautiful marker for the Rev. John L. Kennedy. This marker is near the wall of the Carmel Presbyterian Church. He is the pastor who married William Harrison Ariail and Mary Adelaide Barr. This couple moved from South Carolina to Georgia in the 1850’s and have left a vast amount of descendants. Bottom picture is that of James Patterson pointing to the just discovered graves of John Harvey Ariail and Chloe Climelia Ives Ariail. These graves have been since restored and are being looked after on a regular basis to ensure their integrity.
