Top picture is of the marker for James Ives Ariail, son of Albert Harrison Ariail. James died of TB shortly after a failed attempt to find the remains of his son Albert M. Ariail who died by drowning in the Cooper River in Charlestown, South Carolina. See Cemetery Surveys for the exact location of the burial of Albert M. Ariail after his remains were recovered. James Ives Ariail was twice married, 1st to Cornelia E. DuBose Ariail who passed away in Lexington, South Carolina. Her gravesite has never been determined with the possibility that her remains are beneath the large lake that was later constructed in that area. His 2nd wife survived him and her location has never been determined. Bottom picture is that of Henry Wallace Ariail, son of Albert Harrison Ariail. He was married but died young and his widow’s whereabouts is not known.
