This document is historic in nature. It is the marriage document for Marie Adelaide Terrien daughter of Marie Louise Ariail and granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Mathias Ariail. She is being married to John Hynes. This is included in this portion of the Ariail Web Site because it contains the signature of her 1st cousin Catholic Priest Edouard Quertier who is the son of Marie Anne Ariail. Marie Anne Ariail and Marie Louise Ariail were sisters both daughters of Jean-Baptiste Mathias Ariail. Catholic Priest Edouard Quertier was the famed Catholic Priest in Canada who formed the Society of The Temperance. The Catholic Church which he eventually served upon his death erected a massive bronze statue of him in front of the Church which still stands to this date. James and Lorraine Patterson Historians for the family have visited this statue and payed their respects to their ancient cousin.
